Travelling with Betaferon®

It is concerning in these times how to travel with needles and vials without having trouble with security checks and customs.

Can you travel without refrigerating Betaferon®?

Yes, you can. Betaferon® does not need refrigeration at the patient. The drug is at room temperature (i.e. max. 25°C).

Air travel with Betaferon®

When travelling, your medication as well as administration devices such as syringes, needles and autoinjectors, belong to you and must be carried in hand luggage. This holds true for Betaferon® as well as insulin injections of a diabetic patient.

In order to avoid problems at security checks and customs at the airport it is recommended to take an attestation of your treating physician along.
