Hello all,

Was wondering if anybody knew how to get some other autoject like the Betaject Comfort. This site talks about it, but does not say how to acquire one. The Betaject lite is clunky and has really worsened my treatment experience. I say go back to the larger needles, at least the injection was over faster and I had not ONE single site reaction until they came out with this new needle...

Thanks!

I haven’t heard of anything about a comfort one but I would also rather have the old one with the larger needle. This new one takes so much longer to empty.

I cannot believe the Betaject lite was actually tested by MS patients prior to being distributed. It’s clumsy to use, and the trigger mechanism sticks, making it nearly impossible for me to give my shots, especially the ones in my buttocks. The "push" required to get the trigger mechanism to "fire" is much harder than on the old auto-injector. I also have injection site reactions that I had been free of for the past 5 years--until now. Bayer needs to either redesign the Betaject lite or go back to the larger needle/more user-friendly auto-injector--IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I actually like the smaller needles, but I don’t have the new injector and manually inject. My bruising isn’t as bad when I do slow injections and it doesn’t burn as bad. I realize some people don’t have the hand dexterity to perform this, but try it if you can.

Yes all of you are right, the new Betaject Lite is terrible, the time of doing the injection is longer for me for two reasons - first because of the needle and second the problem of pressing the button to make the injection, as it is not easy to push it when you have small hand. Maybe there should be written a protest and ask for the old version of the Betaject??? What do you think???

i agree, it may be less painful when you inject, but i am left with horrible marks, i am reminded of these eachtime, my pants rub against my legs, or when i sit, or when my belt hurts my stomach... Not sure what to do. SICK of complaining. Two weeks ago looks like I infected both sides of my leg, had to take antibiotics.

My nurse has made on thing easier thou she has removed the spring from the autoinject lite, so i just have to rest it on top of my skin, then press... because before id find it very uncomfortable to press down hard, id often jump. BAD AIMS.

Sometimes i feel i am doing it wrong... does anyone have any solutions?
